Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.

It's arrived!

My new motorised bed is here, and I have already had two much-needed massages on it! There is still a lot of stuff to put back into the bedroom, but as the bed is slightly longer than the old one in my very small bedroom, I may have to rethink the layout - and possibly the actual items of furniture...

I had a contact lens try-out today. I just couldn't feel them! Sadly, I also couldn't see clearly through them, so the optician is going to order a slightly altered prescription. I hope we can get it right - it was so great to think I could be specs-free.

I'm very tired, and the new bed is calling, but Bobby's on at 10 (an hour-and-a-half from now) and he's calling even louder. It's The Unblinking Eye tonight.

your bed sounds awesome... sounds like a giant Bobby Bunny

I do the lenses thingy now and again... the thing is I like hiding my ugly mug behind glasses

Does your bed also change positions like a hospital bed? Over here they are called "Craftmatic Adjustable Beds".

Oh yeah, how did the carpet-laying go?

I officially have 20/20 vision, according to my optician. However, he also feels my eyes would 'benefit' from glasses, my right eye being the 'Vincent D'Onofrio' of the eyeworld, the left being the 'Chris Noth'. I'm trying not to be suspicious that this has something to do with the fact the optician also sells glasses ;0)
You could always put a TV in the bedroom Val, thus being able to bounce away on your new bed whilst oggling Bobby.

Let us know how the lenses go?? I'm thinking of biting the bullet and giving up my specs after 30 years of hiding behind them :-)

Love the sound of your new bed,may have to try a bit of persuasion on J

OMG a motorised bed and bad contact lenses. I'm just glad I am not driving anywhere near you.

Wish you a wonderful week girl

You don't DRIVE the bed Michael! Nor do you get to keep the contact lenses till they have the prescription and brand that work for you, and you've proved you can insert and remove them three times on you own.

ANd how do you KNOW you are not driving anywhere near me...

BTW, the carpet thoroughly enjoyed getting laid. It is stretched across my floor in a state of abandon...

The old carpet has just been abandoned in the front garden till I can sneak it up the road to where some folks have a skip.

Till: Till and until are generally interchangeable in both writing and speech, though as the first word in a sentence until is usually preferred: Until you get that paper written, don't even think about going to the movies.·Till is actually the older word, with until having been formed by the addition to it of the prefix un-, meaning "up to." In the 18th century the spelling 'till became fashionable, as if till were a shortened form of until. Although 'till is now nonstandard, 'til is sometimes used in this way and is considered acceptable, though it is etymologically incorrect.

Thought I had you again for a moment. Damn these stupid dictionaries.

Imagine my disgust, Michael, when I phoned a TV company to bemoan their announcer's use of the "word" disassociate, and had a call back quoting the dictionary at me where it was given as an alternative to dissociate.

So you're a real full time pedant with way too much time on your hands then? The rumours were true! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA.
