Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.

Conscience

There were so many pictures left when I got to 301, it seemed a waste not to use a few more.

The Saint

No. 87 is an accidental Alex. Not that there's anything wrong with pictures of Alex, I just don't usually do them. So I included no. 88 as well.

Happy Birthday Aprilspring

I don't often remember birthdays, but when a recent round robin got to me, I saved the birthdays of some contributors. Today a Yahoo alert I didn't even know I'd set told me it was Aprilspring's birthday.

What did you say?

Josef Fritzl will spend the rest of his life locked up. He will have to be very old if he is to spend longer in captivity than his poor daughter did.

One thing has really riled me from the start about the reports of the case. Even female newsreaders do not challenge the words that are scripted for them.

They report that he "fathered 7 children with his daughter". With his daughter? There was some kind of co-operation going on? She was complicit in this barbarous act? He fathered those children on his daughter, and it's about time the wording got changed to reflect that the act was his crime, for his pleasure, and she was a victim, not an accomplice.

Unreal!

For her birthday I bought my friend a really good Sony digital camera. Her previous one (bought for her a couple of Chirstmases ago, by me, with a photo printer) was constantly losing battery power, and she was always missing great shots at the zoo.
Today we went to Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent, and I thought that at last she would be able to take photos without a problem. Just to make sure, I reminded her last night to charge the camera battery.
The camera wouldn't turn on. We put in my battery and all was fine. Has she buggered things up again? Is the battery a dud? Or the charger? I've brought it home to charge on my charger then see if I can find out what the problem is. If it is a dud, where do I return it to? Only Sony shops sell the batteries, as far as I know. But I bought the camera in Marks and Spencer because the Sony shop couldn't get any (they were reduced by about 30% in the sales), so they should replace it really. But with what!
Any way, here are some of the pictures I took on her behalf.
This is the female African Wildcat...

...and this is the male.

I asked the keeper why they were so different, and he thought the male might have a bit of tabby cat in him. They are siblings, but cats in the same litter can have different fathers, I believe.

At first we thought this was the little female Siberian tiger cub, because it was in the same place I'd filmed her before,

Then we found this little treasure, who seemed smaller and altogether more female-like.

I REALLY wanted to rub her tum.

Maybe kiss it, too.

Shrink-Wrapped

As there is no 301 in this album

...I thought the existing slideshow of some of the last pictures would make up for the lack.

If anyone has ever seen him look yummier, I'd like to know about it.

Mis-Labeled

There's no 301 in this album, and as I was clicking on the numbers, I noticed that some of the pictures just before or after the chosen ones were better.

So I thought I'd go back and select some of them, too.

Pas de Deux

Bizarrely, when the pictures in this album were being renamed after capture, things went wrong, and numbers 1 to about 45 went to the end. One day I'll unravel the mess.

I thought I'd supplement the dismal shots the numbers threw up by recycling some slideshows.

Unrequited

Once again, some extras to make up for the shortcomings of the selection (the one of Claire Bloom is really of Bobby's hand, but even so...) and an irresistible slide show.

Then there's this one for Basric (well, for all of us really).
