Time's short so let's go random again

My friend's coming for supper, then we'll be watching LOCI. By the time I've dropped her off at the station it will almost be time to watch it again in the 11pm repeat, so I've got to do what I can now before she arrives.

The hands are almost a theme though.

Random Vincent

I just clicked and up they came.

New Forest and Back

Yesterday I went to Southampton by train to visit my cousin Joyce and her husband Oliver, who live in the New Forest. It was a great day, just for their company, even without the great meal and getting my only chance this year to paddle in the sea.

This picture is off the internet, but there is an area of the forest just like this, complete with New Forest ponies, ten minutes walk from their house. There is also a portion of the forest behnid their house, and the deer wander along their street sometimes, or lean across their hedge, looking beautiful but being very destructive.

Anthony Gormley - at last!

Definitely my favourite modern sculptor - you can keep your Damien Hursts and Tracy Emins. This is the Angel of the North. I thinks it's a truly inspired work. It stands on a hill near Gateshead, and the motorway passes by. I'd crash because I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off it. Critics have said the wings look like those of an aircraft. I can't see that's a problem.

There was a sculpture like this at Greenwich near the Millennium Dome, this may even be it. I missed it, stupidly. Actually, it could even still be there for all I know. I've never even been to the Dome, even though it's jsut a few miles away.

These thousands of little terracotta figures filled the floor of a gallery. I think they're really cute.

I know nothing about these two terracotta figures, but I think they are interesting pieces. I can imagine Bobby "thinking about them".

Smiling Lips and Eyes

I love the way his eyes twinkle.

Dandy again

I have a cat calendar with a different cat picture each day. Last week there was a long-haired tabby which should have looked like Dandy, but it had a frown and a very grumpy expression on its face. Dandy, by contrast, alway has a stupidly endearing expression, reflecting the two thoughts he has in his brain - "Feed me" and "Fuss me". The only time he ever wore a frown was when he had an abcess on his head, and that was just caused by the swelling.

Bugger Blogger

It's jammed up again! I wanted to do a little post on my cat Dandy, and another on my favourite modern sculptor, Anthony Gormley, but The Angel Of The North will have to wait for another time. If you haven't seen it, I think you'll be impressed. I'd just like to get to see it up close.

Clasped hands, crossed arms, legs

Will somebody PLEASE move that tie!

What a manly stride.

Either he folds his arms right-handed...

...or I fold mine left-handed.

Whatever he's clutching, I wish it was me.

At least it's Bobby. At last it's Bobby.

Hallmark's really acting oddly. Two out of four episodes have got the closing credits from some other show. They've had two different sets of opening credits, the better one only once, unfortunately. They have so many trailers in the ad breaks that you are lucky if your timer records it right to the end. Conversely, they sometimes start a bit early so you miss the very beginning. BUT WE DO HAVE BOBBY AT LAST!

Hands.

Feet.

I love this crouch where he pretend turns the wheel of the Ferrarri.

Angst with hands.

I missed out on a whole Vincent post last night because Blogger wouldn't load pictures. I think I'll make up for it today.
