For Frances

Be careful what you wish for...

I made that vid of the animals.

Just Fooling Around

We could play footsie.

Looking for mischief.

Finding it.

"Don't look where my tie is pointing."

"Kiss me."

"No, seriously, kiss me."

"Don't look where my hands are, either."

Don't know about the Bad, but here's the Good and the Ugly.

"Are you looking at me?"

"I said, Are you looking at me?"

We're all looking at you, Bobby.

Conundrum

Of course, tigers should be hunting and pacing.

Mmmm. Well, I suppose all cats sleep a lot too.

We all know that sloths are slow and lazy.

Well, this one was motoring round with one aim in mind - to invade the human walkway, and resist the keeper's efforts to prevent it.

The golden lion-headed tamarins were baby-sitting the emperor tamarins' babies.

They didn't stay still very long, so trying to get a sharp picture without flash was a challenge I didn't meet.

The heat got to the red titi monkeys.

It was a steaming hot day outside the rainforest exhibit. Inside, it was, well, like a rainforest. I still haven't made up the fluid I lost.

Attention!

Forward march!

Let your wishes not go...

Unrequited.

It's his right side.

They are fewer in number, so I imagine Vincent thinks his left side is his best.
And just to clear up the proportions of the new LOCI S3 album's Undaunted Mettle pictures, here's a sad example (yesterday's were from the old album).

Tough Choice

I've had to revert to my old album for this one. As the first episode screened in S3, it seems I had not yet worked out my picture proportions, and the pictures SUCK!

Anyway, here is your chance to choose which of these actors is the handsomest and the hunkiest.

Too close to call? I thought so.
It does seem, though, that his left side is his best side. Not that he has a bad side, you understand.

Shall We Club Together?

No doubt most of you will have seen this in the Google Alerts:

I wonder if we could win the auction if we all put in, then raffle the prize?

But who would you trust to draw the raffle?

A Different World Cup Video

Today I showed my home tutored student the film Young Frankenstein. For those who have not seen it, it is Mel Brooks's spoof gothic horror movie.

The character Igor was played by British comedian Marty Feldman. Marty had chameleon eyes, that made him look funny even before he did or said anything. And he really didn't need to do much to get a laugh, as this video from his TV show illustrates:

There are quite a few clips from his many TV shows on YouTube, and some from Young Frankenstein, too. Here is the scene where Dr Frankenstein wrings from him an admission that the brain he stole for the Monster was actually from someone named Abi Normal.

Marty died far too young, and had much more joy to give his public. He seems to have been almost forgotten. I'm happy to remember him here.

Thanks for all the laughs, Marty.

St Vincent and the Laying On Of Hands

Nuff said.
