Suspicion Of Innocence

The wonderful Eliza sent me a copy of this and Vincent's other Equalizer appearance with Brother's Keeper. I managed to screencap the first couple of scenes after my little ruse to fool my computers into thinking I had solved the uploading-to-Photobucket problem failed miserably!

I was amazed at how brilliantly Vincent portrayed a young man with special needs (cerebral palsy at a guess), though given his brilliance, I don't know why I should be surprised. He even manages to distort his body! The walk and the constant fidgeting gestures are so realistic. Should have been an early Emmy.

Landmarks

Seeing JoJo's post of the Golden Gate Bridge - a structure I could never be persuaded to go on - I thought I'd share some local no-nos with you.

This is the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge which crosses the Thames at Dartford near London. You cross from south to north via the Dartford Tunnels (I hate tunnels) and you come back via this very long, high bridge (I hate heights). It looks stunning from a distance. That's where I prefer to keep it, but I can't always manage to.

The Millennium Bridge was at first known as The Wobbly Bridge, because when they opened it, the stomp of feet made it sway. It had to be closed and strengthened. It is a pedestrian bridge, and was supposed to look like a flash of light across the Thames from St Paul's Cathedral to the Tate Modern art gallery (in an adapted disused Art Deco power station). I didn't think I'd be able to cross it, but I did.

Ah, the famous white elephant, the Millennium Dome. Millions of pounds of our lottery funds and government subsidies got it finished in time for the millennium celebrations. It was open for a year, with a variety of exhibits inside, and it lost millions more. Since then, a large number of projects have failed to materialise, and it has remained closed. It was sold for 1 penny, just so it wouldn't cost us any more, but we'll never get our money back. I refused to go there for any reason, and although I frequently drive quite close by (it's only about 3 miles from my house) I've never even been up close.

Extra-Long

Let's face it, I could be talking about any part of him - his legs, his fingers, his height, his - "endowment". But this time, it's his eyelashes I'm thinking of. I couldn't help but notice them when I was capping The Extra Man.

Brother's Keeper 1

WIth a zillion thanks to Eliza, I now have, and have watched, the new episode. Bobby, of course, is glorious, and it was good to see his mother being a bit more unstable. It was a glimpse of what he has had to witness throughout his life. He was a wonderful mixture of strength and fragility in this episode. And he had either a split lip or a cold sore! (What a fun way to catch herpes).

I actually had to capture the opening of the episode twice, having saved it to the wrong place in My Pictures, then moved it in a way that wouldn't let me upload it to Photobucket. What a privation!

Bobby's Girl

When people ask of me,
What would you like to be
Now that you're not a kid anymore.
(You're not a kid anymore)

I know just what to say,
I answer right away,
Theres just one thing I've been wishing for...

I want to be Bobby's girl

I want to be Bobby's girl,

That's the most important thing to me...

And if I was Bobby's girl,

If I was Bobby's girl,

What a faithful thankful girl I'd be.

Each night I sit at home,
Hoping that he will phone,
But I know Bobby has someone else

Still in my heart I pray
There soon will come the day
That I will have him all to myself...

I want to be Bobby's girl

I want to be Bobby's girl,

What a faithful thankful girl I'd be.
What a faithful thankful girl I'd be.

The Extra Man - Last Legs

An example of Bobby enjoying his work.

You could never accuse him of being tongue-in-cheek...

The Extra Man - Spare Leg

Bobby has to understand everyone's motivation - no matter how much of a struggle it is.

But he understands the fake M. Dupont only too well.

And if Photobucket hadn't seized up, Bobby would have understood him a bit more in their second conversation.

The Extra Man - Second Leg

I tried so hard to get an unblurred still of Bobby's sweet ass, but he was just walking too fast!

Just for your interest...

Yesterday was Greta Scacchi's 47th birthday.

On Google Alerts there was a link to someone's Livejournal who's read an article about Vincent in The National Enquirer. They were surprised to see something about him in such a rag, as he's such a private person, and they assumed it was a complete fake. They were very proper and didn't repeat the story.

I can out-slut you!

I'm sorry to have to outdo you all in your eagerness to let Vincent move fast and do stuff on a first date. WHO NEEDS A DATE? I'd do the deed with him in the instant after I'd first met him. I'm so desperate to know if he is as talented on the job as he looks on the screen (not to mention to find out if he's as well-endowed as we believe) that I wouldn't even need to be introduced.

The Extra Man - First Leg

Thanks to Photobucket, I couldn't do a proper post - it just wouldn't show me half my caps. And Bobby moves so fast in the early stages of this episode that it wasn't very easy to capture images that weren't blurred. But here's the story so far.
