See Me Again

Bobby's on in 10 minutes, so I've done a bit more recycling.

Beautiful Bobby

Sorry if I've used some of these pictures before - I know how much you will all object if I have...

False Economy

I found a charitable organisation that reuses and recycles computers and peripherals, and told them I'd take my two old computers and my old scanner to them. I finally got round to it today after my mammogram.

There were roadworks on the route which led to massive tailbacks on a major road close to the centre of town. That meant I couldn't even see the street I was supposed to turn right into (for my US readers, that means a street on the OTHER side of the road) let alone find a space to turn into it.

When I eventually found the street, I had to drive up and down it 3 times to find the actual premises, which was poorly signed, and what sign there was had been obscured by a van. The whole trip, from home to screening unit to recycling place was only about 8 miles, but the last bit (about 4-5 miles) had taken over an hour. So what I saved in the world's consumable resources, I wasted in petrol and exhaust fumes.

I felt in need of some retail therapy after that, so I drove to the shopping centre at Bromley. I limited my purchases to 4 skirts, 2 t-shirts, 7 books, 3 rings, 1 pair of earrings and 2 toe rings. I now need to grow some extra fingers and toes to accommodate them all.

At a market stall outside that sells semi-precious stones and fossils, I bought a bison toe-bone and a necklace made from woolly mammoth ivory. Wasn't sure about that one. Hope it turns out to be plastic...

Boob Sandwich

This woman's build is not dissimilar to mine, though I think I am even more generously endowed than her (unfortunately). The squishing and squashing didn't seem quite as bad or as painful this time as last, but I did need an extra one per boob even though they now have bigger film plates...

Bobby Undercover

I wish he was under MY covers...

Bird Life

I've been having a nice relaxing day in the garden in summer temperatures. There were a couple of starlings in the bush next to my bird feeder. They were making calls I hadn't heard before, and I thought they might be mating calls - but which was which? Then one jumped briefly on to the other (VERY briefly, typical male) and I knew.

Suddenly there was s lot of flapping and I thought I saw a pigeon deep in the bush. The starlings panicked. They knew better than me - it was a magpie, and it was obviously trying to hunt starlings. I stood up, clapped and shouted, expecting all three birds to fly away, but only the magpie left, the starlings appeared to be less scared of me than of the magpie.
A little later a starling (I don't know if it was one of the original pair) flew off the bush towards the fence - and collided with it! It didn't appear to be injured (maybe its pride) and it just wheeled round and flew away in the opposite direction.
Sadly all my lovely sparrows seem to have disappeared. Have they been hunted by the magpies, or have the local council's "improvements" destroyed their habitat and with it their capability to survive the winter?

A Rare Vintage

Full-bodied, fruity and sweet-tasting, the Vincent D'Onofrio vintage only improves with with age.

His poor little lips look so sore and red. I'd catch his cold gladly if it meant I had to snog him.

It might be worth being murdered...

...though of course you wouldn't know he was there kneeling beside you.

I love the sight of that huge man all hunkered down investigating, or with his eyes flicking round everywhere taking in everything.

These Hands Were Made For Talking

Sign language might have been made for showing off Vincent's lovely hands (and I mean no disrespect to those who have to use it to communicate).

This should have been a slideshow, but Photobucket is not obliging yet again.

Some more from the Insider

Every angle, every expression as delectable as the last.

I did another slideshow, but it won't save. My computer or Photobucket? No idea - but grrrr.

Also grrrr that the photos I spent four hours saving on to a disc yesterday from my new computer won't load up on this one. Seems everything I try to get those photos on to Photobucket (for it then to lock me out from using them...) is doomed to failure.

Look what I won this time!

They were only $50! Genuine Vincent/Bobby trousers (that's pants in US English). Can't wait to see how long they are.

Actually, they seem to have turn-ups (cuffs) so I wonder if they are Bobby or some other Vincent character.

Great Barrier

It seems ridiculous, considering how gorgeous he is all the time, but I'd forgotten how delicious Bobby is in this episode.

I just want to hug him when he's watching that video of the first duel between him and SWMNBN.
