Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.

Just a quick question

I remember a series of posts JoJo did a while ago about the impossibility of getting things to stay suctioned to the wall in the shower. It's a problem I have periodically. My solution, fortunately, is much cheaper than hers, and it's quick and easy for me to replace the offending bottle-holding shelf if need be, thanks to a super-cheapo store just down the road that sells exactly the item I need.

However, before it becomes obvious that a new one is the only answer, there are usually weeks, or even months, when the suction cups keep failing and you have to stick the thing back up.

Of course, soon (but not immediately) after you put the bottles back on the shelf, at a time designed to give you the maximum shock (ie. in the middle of the quiet of night) the thing comes unstuck again and crashes down.

What I want to know is, given that the suction cups could not hold the shelf and contents in place, WHY THE HELL DO THEY STICK TO THE TILES HALF WAY DOWN THE WALL AND REFUSE TO COME FREE SO YOU CAN PUT THEM BACK WHERE THEY BELONG?

New Season 5 - Wrongful Life

I find this episode particularly tragic. I just want the brother to go free to look after his sister.

There are so many shots of the Stunt Claw* (copyright Diane) in this episode
that it was a relief to find the real thing.

Look how his nose turns up when he laughs!

Bobby, stop looking at Eames' tits!

Bobby shows off a nice bit of blue-shirted tum.

"OK, so Goldblum's is this big...

...Noth's is like this...

...and this is mine."

"OK, I admit it, mine is more like this. "

Barbarian!

Well, I wouldn't mind if he were - he can drag me off by the hair any time.

Massive "Aaaaaahhh!"

The day after my visit to London Zoo, Mjukuu gave birth to a son. He's the first gorilla to be born at the zoo in 20 years. "Aunties" Zaire and Effie were in attendance for the birth.

This incredibly sweet video shows her studying her baby unbelieving, and apparently totally in love with her new "toy".

Brooklyn's Finest

At last.

Apparently my favoured (long ago paid for) version of Cyberlink PowerDVD is not compatible with Windows 7, so I've downloaded a trial version of the latest version. It seems to do most things I want it to - except detach the control panel from the screen, which I always found most useful.

Anyway, here's our poor dear man (I don't even know his character's name!) in his few moments on screen. (Diane and others of a squeamish nature, don't look at the last picture!)

Should I or shouldn't I?

When I tried to play the clip of this, I couldn't, so I haven't tried to buy it yet. Is it something to do with this new computer, or is it the fact that I'm in the UK? Anyone had any luck - good or bad?

I'll Be Frank

This is a truly boring film. The only watchable thing in it is - Tara! - Vincent.

There's a surprise.

Still no PowerDVD (thanks for the prompt response, guys, you're beginning to remind me of Marks and Spencer) so still no new material.

Nothing New

Until Cyberlink bothers to send me a new download link for PowerDVD, I am unable to cap any DVDs, like the rest of Season 5, or Brooklyn's Finest. So I'm again choosing a film at random to titillate your fancies.

And what better than the Thumb Sausage? Is there any other actor who would have the equipment to carry this one off?

Sometimes I sits and thinks

And sometimes I just sits.

Or in Mujukuu's case, waits. Her baby is due any time now, and she doesn't look very happy about it.

It was such a lovely, sunny autumn day, and the outlook for the week so uncertain, that I decided to go to the zoo. So did just about every family in the capital, whether residents or visitors - it's a long time since I saw such queues.

Lumpur the Sumatran tiger was beating the bounds, with a groan at each turn that you can almost hear over the noise of the crowds.

Going For A Burton

In the UK, if something has "gone for a burton", it mean it is broken or lost.

Or dead.
