No Glottals

That's the father and son's "shibboleth". I heard a great exchange in the supermarket involving glottals once.

Son: Dad, we need bu'er.
Dad: Bu'er? Bu'er! You mean "butter".
Son (obediently): Butter.
Dad; That's be'er!

Nearly as good was the little boy who looked in the chill cabinet and said, "Euh, mum, look, LION chops!"
Anyway, here's Bobby. Not many laughs in this episode though.

Don't frown, Bobby. I'll help you solve the puzzle.

He-man pose. God, those arms.

Manly profile.

Almost a smile.

Pensive.

Gorgeous.
So handsome.

Even closer to a smile.

Woof.

Yep, not many laughs, but a huge number of great Bobby shots.

For all that it's subject matter is deeply disturbing, 'Shibboleth' is one of my all-time favourite episodes. Vincent was just superb in it, not, I hasten to add, that he's ever a slouch in that department of course!

This episode is sooooo gross, but Bobby rescues it with his gorgeousness.

As I have a liking for shots of Bobby with his hand in front of his mouth (not that you'd notice) I'm more than satisfied with your choice of pictures.

Can't say it's a favourite episode, but it's one I can watch without feeling too squeamish

This episode was a real fore-runner for all the **** that Goren ends up going through later, with the underlying story of a son inheriting - or, rather, being terrified of inheriting - his father's perversions.

Horrid episode. Beautifully acted though. These caps are superb...

I loved this episode, the contempt Bobby felt for the serial killer (the way he kept calling him 'Jake') was amazing.

I wish they'd bring back the blue shirt :)

Another creepy episode but this one was more fascinating in hindsight with the whole father son theme in regards to Bobby.

No matter how depressing the episode, Bobby always looks good. :-)
