Autumn Colour?

On Sunday, my favourite gardens, Emmetts in Kent, shut for the winter. They stay open long enough for people to see the autumn colour.

These days, though, the colour doesn't arrive properly till after the gardens have shut.

There are some pretty spectacular fungi this year, though, including the hallucinogenic Fly Agaric.

I have no idea what these little beauties are, but I thought you might appreciate them...

Beautiful foliage! It's lovely here as well. I'm growing mushrooms like those in my fairy garden, on Facebook, in the "Fairyland" application.

Great colors in autum, I just wish it wouldn't be so cold; radiators are running like wild and I'm still cold.
Anyone else but me think these mushrooms look "funny"? LOL!
Val, I hope you don't put Fly Agarics on your pizza.

Wow! Such a choice! Hallucinogenic mushrooms or phallic mushrooms! Hmmmmmmm . . .

We don't have anything that pretty here yet, but I'm hoping :-)

I like the way you put a "u" in "colour"...very European. Beautiful photos, I'm fortunate to live in Pennsylvania where there are spectacular views of brilliant foliage...after all, Pennsylvania means "Penn's woods". Thank you for sharing!

Many (if not all) Canadians add the "u", too, Nantz. I find some of their British-like customs very endearing. I was delighted when my cousin referred to her "mum" instead of her "mom". (I was also thrilled to hear another cousin say "eh?" and "for sure" within minutes of picking me up at the airport!)

stunning photos val... shame the autumn shades herald darkness and gloom

It may be in its 'sear and yellow leaf' as Robert E Howard would say, but it's still breathtakingly beautiful.

LOL, Val...I remember going to Canada a few times and hearing them say "eh?" too!

I'm an American and have been using the 'u' in words like Colour since high school! My English teacher and I went round and round about my preferred British spelling. She had to concede that it is an accepted spelling, and if there was a British student in our high school, they would not be marked off for spelling words with a 'u'. So I won that battle. lol

The small victories are often the most satisfying, JoJo.
