Goodness Gracious Me!

Once upon a time there was a radio comedy show that was adapted for TV. It was written and performed by a group of Asian actors (in the UK, Asian means Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi, not Chinese or Japanese).

It was brilliant on radio, and it translated to TV exceptionally well.

The sketch "Going for and English" is a twist on the drunken Friday night groups of English people who "Go for an Indian". They over order, mix-and-match odd dishes because they don't know any better, and the most macho men order the spiciest thing on the menu. Someone unadventurous asks for an English dish . They mispronounce everything, and often entertain one another by doing a moonie over the table. The food usually gives them the runs the next day.

So enjoy it all turned on its head to great comic effect.
