Sleepless nights

And not just In The Wee Small Hours.

For those who recommend the dentist, went last Friday and have been taking antibiotics ever since, to no avail. Swelling is getting worse, not better. Can't go again before Thursday - won't leave Alex in the lurch. Don't have brandy or whisky in the house. Soluble painkillers rubbed in are the best solution, along with oil of cloves, but root filling and crown are in my future.

Anyway, here's some classic Bobby! (How can his hands be simultaneously so big, strong and manly, and so delicate and fine?)

I have often wondered the same thing about his hands. Antibiotics not working? ARRRG!!! That can not be fun. I feel for you, definately. I rather have multiply births than a toothache. OUCH!! I heard that oil of cloves besides oil of thyme was the best pain reliever. Thanx for some classic Bobby. He always makes me feel better. But seriously Val you are a real trooper to post when in such pain. Feel better real soon. Cheers!!

I echo bobbybegood1's sentiment, you are a real trooper. Antibiotics not working and you still have to wait to go to the dentist--I truly wish there was something I could do for you because toothaches are the worse. Even Bobby looks upset for you in that last pic. Stay strong.

Oh I forgot all about clove oil! My mom had me use that when I had a tooth ache as a child and we couldn't get to the dentist right away.

It's definitely not good when the antibiotics aren't working. I also appreciate that you are taking time to post. Of course I think looking at Bobby could be helpful to making you feel a little better.

Great caps indeed!

Oh dear, those last two make me woozy. Thank you for posting such fine caps while you're feeling so crummy. Have you tried some numbing stuff around the tooth? Your dentist may have some to spare before your appointment; the stuff they rub on before the Novocaine shot. It's smells like coconut. Anyway, hope you feel better.

Too bad Bobby can't kiss your cheek and make it feel better. I hate going to the dentist and I hate toothaches. I just had mine all taken care of this spring and it had been 14 years since I had anything done. Got all the work done in two visits, just a few fillings, no root canals , never had one of those, thank goodness!!Anyway, hope youfeel better soon.

All these pix are fantastic, some, you can really see his little-boy face. So sweet!

val you need to get there quick and get another antibiotic - metronizadol (sp?) or something like that and take it together with, i presume, the penicillin - the dentist won't be able to do anything if your mouth is still inflamed - take it from one who sadly knows and who totally empathises and sympathises with you xxxxx

Oh Val, I'm So sorry. Is there an emergency dentist you could see?

When I was a kid, there was something called 'Tooth Tincture' which was a godsend to someone who had terrible trouble when her baby teeth decided to stay put while her adult teeth were trying to break on through.

Nothing worse than toothache....apart from contemplating watching a Goldblum episode ;0)
