The Consoler - taster

After downloading, putting on to DVD, then starting to cap our latest treat, I find I've run out of time to finish the capping, watermark, then upload to Photobucket. I'm not very pleased with the caps either. They are not nearly as bright or clear as the episode as I watch it on Cyberlink PowerDVD. Don't know what's gone wrong. Any ideas, anyone?

Meanwhile, it seems we didn't miss much by way of reintroduction of our pair into the squad. Goren was of course magnificent thoughout, and Eames has clearly picked up some of his skills.

I'm still fantastically pissed off that we're just expected to accept they're 'there', without ANY explanation as to HOW this miracle happened. It's a bit like watching the 'German Tourists' episode of 'Fawlty Towers', where Basil kept telling everyone 'Don't mention the war'. With C.I. it feels like it's a case of 'Don't mention Bobby was fired...'.

Sorry you're having trouble with the screencapping. I capped the whole of last week's episode with Powerdvd, then scrapped the lot because they were crap. Now I'm doing it the long, laborious way via the 'print screen' key!

Probably a stupid question, but have you thought of capping the video before you put it onto dvd? I tend to use GOM player to play the video, and then I can either cap manually or set it to cap automatically..seems to give reasonable results.

As to the episode, I enjoyed seeing our Bobby doing his thing, I ignored the scene with the pyschiatrist, and I've decided to not hold my breath waiting for an explanation for the last year :-)

I am just so glad they are back and so far the Episodes have been great.
Lets hope there is another season of it or even more. That would be just so great.

Wish I could offer any kind of advice on capping but I'm just happy to know how to use my computer.

I was a little annoyed at such lack of explanation but by the end of the episode I decided it was fine. I'd rather not know the details on how they returned. Just that they returned and apparently the captain asked Goren back.

I thought it was in line with the more classic LOCI where things were implied and we had to fill in the blanks ourselves.

Favorite moments for me were Goren telling that lecherous priest he's got a few hail Mary's coming, and Eames grabbing her head in frustration as she's leaving the office after the captain asks for a moment alone with Goren after his "Joe don't be a moron" comment.

Oh and the way Bobby was sitting in the chair at the shrink's office!!! I love when he does that. :-D

It was a great episode, but it should have been #1. I still don't understand the rush to make Rispetto episode #1.

@Diane - I LOVE that episode of Fawlty Towers. "Hitler, Himmler, that lot". lol Then when Basil starts goose stepping in and out of the dining room, and Manuel sets the kitchen on fire. Too funny!

I loved this episode especially the scene with Julia Ormond. And Eames was excellent with the priest. A very good episode.
