The promised snow has arrived. Trees have a whole - ooh - centimetre or so of snow on the branches.
The roofs are almost covered in the stuff.
This tree was covered in white blossom yesterday. Today it's sprinkled with snow, too.
Have pity, those of you who know what it is like to suffer such extreme weather.

Val, here in Southwest Ohio, we call that amount of snow a "dusting." Unfamiliar with London winters. Do you get much snow?
I like this blog as you post varied subjects. Haven't been here for a while and was sorry to see that there has been some problems. As you wrote, it is your blog and posters can choose if they want to comment or not and that you are always open to discussion. I don't understand why some people just want to cause outright disruption. I think you post some very good pictures and always have interesting things to say.
Some years we get none. When we get it, it can vary from several inches and drifting to barely even landing. Sometimes you can make a giant snowball, others, you can't even make an ice cube.
But being such a built-up area, London is always several degrees warmer than the surrounding areas, so they probably have it quite harsh at present.
Anonymous, your post appeared after I'd written my comment. Thanks for the comment, do let us know who you are.
I just found out accidentally that when I clicked on the bottom picture, it became big enough to show a woman looking out of a window top left. Hope she doesn't mind being posted worldwide!
it's practically all gone... hooray!
Thank you for your reply. I'm not an avid Vincent D'Onofrio fan but I do appreciate looking at a handsome man. I like your blog more for it's variety of other topics.
I woke up to snow too. Sadly, by the time I'd powered up my camera to take a picture of it, it had all gone!
We got about 3 inches this morning...but it had all gone by teatime.I'll post pics if I can persuade the pc to recognise the camera
I had a ton of snow a couple of weeks ago when spring 'officially' began. Took me 45 minutes to dig my car out to go to work. I was not amused! I definitely can empathize with the show problem.
Hopefully you'll thaw out like we did. Almost 60 today and I finally went outside with short sleeves and no jacket. I wish you the same in the near future. :)
Glad you're so excited about the snow...and hope you keep it! LOL
Eliza posted snow pics too! Glad to see we aren't the only ones with winter hanging on.
*sigh*
I haven't seen snow in so long...
i was going to comment: thx god no snow here since years!
right now at this moment it begins to snow, so tomorrow morning i have to shovel that white stuff... hate!!
I'm in Denver visiting my parents, and it snowed here yesterday, for about half an hour. Melted off by noon. Thank goodness. I'm sick of the stuff.
