Who'd be at work?

Today in London it has been sunny, with perfect blue skies and not a cloud in sight nor a trace of wind. It has been warm enough to go outside without a coat and still feel perfectly comfortable.

Global warming? What global warming?

Anonymous said...: I know I shall be burned on the bonfire as a heretic (one is NOT allowed to nay-say the new religion of scientifically-proven- beyond-a-shadow-of-a-doubt-man-made climate change), but we are on a living planet, that has warmed up and cooled down for millenia. I'm sorry, but the idea that changing to a different light bulb might stop it is frankly hilarious.

However, considering it's February, it HAS been a lovely day

JoJo said...: Yeah but man is managing to speed up the process instead of letting nature take it's normal course. That being said, I won't be giving up my air conditioner or clothes dryer any time soon.

Here, it's about 38, pouring rain, and another 2' of snow is falling in the mtns.

SnarkAngel said...: Ice and snow are turning to slush here in Chicago, as chunks of ice and snow fall from my office building and onto the sidewalk and maybe the heads of passersby. I had to dodge a few chunks this morning just to get back into the office after a condo showing. But this Sunday, our high will be 9 degrees Farenheit and the low will be negative 2 farenheit. Ugh. At least on Sundays, I have a LOCI marathon to look forward to. Don't even have to leave the apartment. Heh-heh.; 9:43 pm
Claire said...: You're right Diane. Fossils of dinosaurs have been found in Antarctica (see Smithsonsian Magazine, Jan 2008 "Polar Dinosaurs"). Humans are certainly speeding up the process, but it happens over and over again through out the eons. Our time on earth is but a speck of time in the life of this planet. Mother Earth has her ways of dealing with troublemakers. We're probably overdo for a flu pandemic that will take the population down a notch or two (sorry to say). The survivors of whatever catastrophy occurs will find ways to adapt and live on.; 1:34 am
