Purgatory - Day 9

Can't talk to Alex, he'd never be able to fool her.

I felt so bad for Alex, but her anger at Bobby was really displaced. She shoulda been mad at Capt. Ross. It's not like Bobby had gone rogue and was doing this undercover thing on his own.

I always figured Alex would see through any lies he told her, seemed the logical explanation for why he didn't tell her anything and then snubbed her when she tried to reach him

Was so sad, this scene on both their parts. Bobby looked so good,,but so tired and anxious. I could certainly feel Alex's sadness when he walked away from her.

Yep, I think he knew Eames would see straight through any cover story he could come up with, but I also think you can see how uncomfortable he was keeping it from her. Oh and not only should she have been mad with Ross, she should have punched the Chief of D's, since most of the circumstances Bobby found himself in were on HIS orders!

Poor Bobby....

I think Eames' anger was well placed. She always had his back and Bobby should have been able to trust her not to blow his cover. But more than anything she was more upset at the thought of possibly losing him that really made her mad.

As a cop, especially a by-the-book cop, Alex Eames should understand that when you're undercover and TOLD by your superiors to keep it quiet, you don't tell anyone, not even a spouse. However, when they met outside the diner, he could have told her he was doing something 'I can't talk about, but I'm OK'. At least then she would understand his distance. But when the truth came out, I felt her anger what greatly misplaced as you all stated.
