Faith - Hands and Eyes

There were lots of shots of Vincent's eyes and hands looking edible when I capped this earlier today. Sadly, when you go on to the slideshow-making facility at Photobucket, the pictures are too small to see details like eyelashes, so it gets a bit hit-and-miss. Still, they're all of Bobby, and that's what counts.

Can't miss the hands, though...

An Understandable Extravagance

I've told the story about the ceiling in my newly fitted kitchen collapsing on to my new table and chairs. It happened back in 2000 and was caused by the bathroom fitters causing a flood. The ceiling was thick Victorian plaster, and the weight broke the new pedestal pine dining table and badly scratched the chairs. They all had to be replaced, even though they were only a few months old.

I've never been particularly happy with the chairs - they are lightweight and unstable when a large cat stands his front feet on the back of one... They aren't very comfortable, either.

So there I was yesterday mooching around Greenwich Market, and I found some solid oak chairs rather like this. They were so comfortable, I bought some. I bartered! I might even get an oak table to go with them. (You can't have a pine table displaying its beautiful top with 7 cats in the house, or it becomes a mass of digs and scratches, so mine is alway covered up, and it's as good as new. But I'd like to be able to have it bare).

Anyone know someone who could use a table and four chairs, going cheap?

The first pair of Bobby trousers arrived today. If I can lose about 3 inches round my waist I'll be able to wear them. Of course, I'll need stilts, too.

That was then...

When my subscription magazines arrived (usually about 6 or 7 of them) I used to read each one within half an hour. I'd buy up to 5 books a month and read them all within that month. TV programmes might be videoed and watched, then recorded over, but only a few per week.

This is now...
I have some magazines over a year old that have still not been read. I still buy books at the same rate, but there are nearly a hundred waiting to be read. I have so many items on DVD and video that I watch over and over again that I barely find time to watch anything else.

What happened?

Less-than-perfect Bobby

I have fought with my computer tooth and nail all morning, and this is all I could come up with. There's a slideshow out there somewhere in the ether but I can't get to it!

I love to see Bobby have to duck to get down those stairs, and the way he almost stands on his head.
