The French version of Season 7 on my Dutch DVDs (???) has a couple of interesting features.

First, the title:

Clever of them to put it in wonky.

Then they actually put the title of the episode itself in the opening credits:

Which makes me wonder why the original version doesn't do the same. (For those who doen't speak French, the title has nothing to do with "Amends", it means "Nine Years After").

It's quite amusing to see how the French episode titles bear absolutely NO relation to the English titles isn't it?!
Also, if there's a newspaper headline they're reading, a French translation appears on screen. I'm sticking with French on the grounds I didn't take Dutch at school, but I wish there was a way to skip having to chose one or the other in the first place.

  2. Is the dialog dubbed into French as well?

  3. I was wondering if they were dubbed or subtitled.

  4. You can opt for French or Dutch dubbing or, TA-DA! original English. Or subtitles in French or Dutch (I don't remember there being an English option there), but hardly any DVDs, even brand new ones, have audio description, which is a disgrace for people like my student Alex who is blind.
