The Insanity of Universal's Censorship Policy

I've been bemoaning for some days the illogicality and downright stupidity of the episodes Universal won't show at 5pm, not to mention the words they fade out.

I think you'll all agree that yesterday's wins the prize.

They had no problem with showing Mis-Labeled, complete with body cut in half and little boy infected with HIV because of contaminated blood products. However, when it came to the pubic hair (which they had already mentioned) caught in a watch strap, they were so coy. Goren asks the owner if it got there when she was "caressing him intimately". The idiot censors cut out the "intimately" and left it just at "caressing him". The woman still says, "You ask the strangest questions" though.

HELLO, UNIVERSAL, YOU ARE RIDICULOUSLY PRUDISH SADDOS.

I think their censors are actually closet perverts afraid of giving themselves away.

Fine Perfect Specimen

Must be what FPS stands for.

Crappy Family

Apparently, this episode - one of the darkest, in my opinion - was fine for 5pm transmission!

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside

Another visit yesterday to another cousin. This is the cousin who lives in the New Forest. I took a train down to Southampton, where she and her husband picked me up and took me to their daughter's new apartment in the seaside town of Bournemouth.

After lunch in a pub restaurant, we strolled down to the beach. There are lots of decorated lion models in the area, and we passed this one.

Whenever I am near the sea, I have to dunk my toes in the waves. It's just one of those things I have to do. There were windsurfers all along the coast.

My cousin's daughter took this picture of the windsurfer. It would never have occurred to me to tilt the camera like that to get him and his kite in.

Later we went into the town and had some coffee and cakes at a lovely little shop called Chocol8. Sadly the daughter, who has had two brain operations to remove benign tumours, can no longer enjoy chocolate, as it tastes completely bland to her. Luckily she still loves cake though.

Unsound Minds

That's the weirdos at Universal Channel who think that this, too, is an episode unsuitable for broadcast at the time they have chosen to show the LOCI reruns.

Gone A-Stray

Another episode they didn't dare show at 5pm.

Don't think I missed any of his best bits...

IE9

Help! As you know, no one ever gets a reply from Blogger, so I do not expect them to help with my problem.

Since accidentally updating to Internet Explorer 9, I can no longer post my blog from Internet Explorer. I write it, but it just doesn't post. I have to retrieve the post on Firefox, and publish it from there.

As I also accidentally updated Firefox too, I now have two browsers whose current form I loathe.

Anyway, can anyone suggest what I might need to change to post from IE9?
