Many thanks to JoJo for this treasured award, which she has posted at http://tahomabeadworks.blogspot.com/
To accept the award, you have to do the following:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 10-15 blogs who you think deserve this award.
4. Contact these bloggers and let them know about the award. As JoJo has already recieved the award, and has given it to a lot of the people I visit regularly, my choices are limited. Forgive me, but I can never remember how to do a link, so I'll give the names and addresses. Here goes:
1. Coasty's Journal/A Lady By The Sea ( http://coastcat.blogspot.com/ http://aladybythesea.blogspot.com/)
2. A Muse, an Actor and a Fuzzy Individual ( http://wildaboutvinny.blogspot.com/ )
3. I Love Cinema ( http://ilovecinema-potzina.blogspot.com/ )
People like Basric and Drowsey Monkey are not currently posting, so I don't feel I can include them, unfortunately, so I haven't been able to fulfil this part of the acceptance. Sorry!
As for seven things about myself - ooh, you know most stuff already!
1. I'm the youngest child of two youngest children - my paternal grandfather was born in 1868.
2. I got my first cat in 1974, since when I've never been without a cat, and usually had two or more, and have had 10 in all - and I still have six of them.
3. The house I live in used to belong to the parents of a school friend of mine, and I bought it from them. I'm going to see the mother on Monday in the care home where she now lives (her daughter, my friend, died a couple of years ago).
4. I once sang before the wife of the Archbishop of Canterbury. (OK, it was a garden show where she had a stall for the garden of Lambeth Palace, his official London residence, and I just sang along to what the band was playing...)
5. When I was 17 I won a scholarship to France for 10 weeks. The first three weeks was with other students on a course, but then I took off on my own for the next seven weeks to stay with families in the Loire Valley and the South of France. I travelled back to England overnight sitting in the corridor of a packed train chatting to a couple of very attractive young Frenchmen. With a huge spot on my nose.
6. When I was 15 I went on a weekend away with some schoolfriends and got so drunk I insisted on proving I wasn't drunk by turning cartwheels in a straight line on the lawn outside the pub.
7. As a teen I auditioned twice for the National Youth Theatre. And failed both times. Lucky break, I think I would have been bored acting the same stuff over night after night and twice on Saturdays.
And if Blogger removes my formatting one more time, I'll scream!
I just said thank you and left it at that on the grounds I've no idea how to link anything and I can't think of 15 things about me that wouldn't bore everyone into a coma ;0)
ReplyDelete....or 7 things about me either (sorry, I should READ things properly)
ReplyDeleteOh I do wish there was video of those drunken cartwheels!! lmao
ReplyDeleteWoo, cartwheels. Awesome. I could never do a cartwheel, drunk or sober. Good job Val, it was nice getting to know a little bit more of you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Val and thank you so much. I'm honored and happy :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Bev : I could never do a cartwheel. I think my ass is too big!
