Has anyone heard any news about other cast members for Season 10? Do we have to suffer the same Captain? (OK, I've never actually watched her, but I heard she was pretty lame.) How about a DA?
Now that the Mothership has bitten the dust, they could have their pick of great actors. A few more black faces wouldn't go amiss. I'd love to see Van Buren promoted to captain of Major Case, but I thought I heard Pat Merkerson was leaving L&O anyway as she had breast cancer.
I'm not that keen on the most recent Assistant DA. Funny how they were always male (well, mostly they were Sam Waterston) and the minion was female. Any suggestions for a feisty black female DA to challenge Bobby? The murdering cop in Badge had the spunk, but I think it needs someone taller, more imposing, a sort of Grace Jones figure.
Any suggestions for people (of any race or gender) that you think would suit the roles?
Personally I'd like to see Deakins & Carver come back. Get the original cast together for the last season.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried searching IMDb? That's where I usually go for all things movie and TV.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching but I haven't heard a word yet. Personally, I would love to see Carver come back. I have no comment about Nichols' captain (Zoey? Really?) because I never watched her. I hope the support cast is worthy of the show...and our stars.
ReplyDeleteI too would love to see Jamey Sheridan come back. It will be hard getting use to a new captain again.
ReplyDeleteDeakins and Carver...that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
ReplyDeleteWell, 'Carver' is playing the Chief Of Police in Los Angeles on the show 'The Closer' so I doubt we'll see him in New York anytime soon. My hope is that Captain Ross wasn't really killed and he'll be back...But I doubt that's going to happen.
ReplyDeleteNo question: Deakins and Carver
ReplyDeleteAngela Basset as a DA could be interesting. She has enough character. And Glenn Close as a captain.
ReplyDeleteGlenn Close, wow, yes. She did do a season in The Shield, though, didn't she? Maybe (even of they did think of her) she wouldn't want to do something similar again.
ReplyDeleteSince I barely acknowledge other cast members, it doesn't really matter to me. Captain Deakins retired and we've managed since Season 5 without a DA. I'd like to discover Ross was actually working for the Feds (I have a plot theory, but we'll see what they come up with) and 'played dead' for a reason in MY head but not necessarily in the new script writers! ;0)
ReplyDeleteBeware using IMDB as the 'fount of all knowledge'; it isn't.
