Can Anyone Help?

Ducky is desperate for a copy of Pelham, but doesn't have the channel it's being shown on on Monday.
Is there anyone out there who's recording it and can send her a copy? I don't think there's ever been a challenge yet to supply a fan with V-material that a fellow-Vixen hasn't risen to.
Meanwhile, here's the scene where I'm down below, just out of shot:

Lawks-a-mercy, look at that jaw!

I would be happy to make a copy of my DVD but I'm such a techno-dork, that I have no idea how to do that.

And Val, I believe I've seen that expression on Vincent's face before.
You get around. For the greater common good of course.

  2. Damn, outed!

Thanks for the good intentions, Bev. Someone will have the equipment. I could do it, but it would be the wrong region dvd, and anyway, it's not on over here at the moment!

  3. I have the one you sent me Val, that I can't play on my machine. I've already leant it to Snarkangel who made a copy for himself & sent it back to me.

Ducky, I can lend you mine if you have a regional player and/or way to dupe it. :)

  4. If Ducky can download, I could send her the link to where I have mine backed-up...not sure a copy made her would play for her, it can be a bit hit & miss with dvd's done here playing there

  5. I got my digital version (also have a German VHS) with a torrent. So if Ducky or one in her family/friends is familiar with torrents she should just google for this...a little attention that she didn't downloaded the other two Pelham versions but I think she can manage this.

I am planning to look for it on one of the channels....my guide only goes no more than about 2 weeks and I have a feeling that it might be showing again.....I do nave one old copy.....I will look at it again (just as a favor of course) and If it is decent, I will let you know and will be happy to send it if you sign in blood :))

If anyone wants to dupe it, they may. If I can't sleep tonight, I will watch it again and will check with a friend who used to dupe for me.......to see if she still has the equipment.

I will let you know tomorrow.....glad to have all of you to commiserate and slobber with......

It is obvious from his radio interview how much he appreciates his "C.I." fans.

  8. I show Pelham coming up on Encore Mystery in my cable zone on Friday October 15th. I can DVD it then or make a copy of off my second DVD, which is North American format. My first DVD is PAL format, from JoJo. Let me know!

You know, we wouldn't have all this nonsense if DVD/VCR manufacturers didn't insist on 'Region coding' their damn machines. I read somewhere recently that it's not a 'legal requirement' they just chose to do it....I guess to piss on our parade (bastards!)

I'd happily copy my 'Pelham' but it's a UK version, which would require a multi-region player in the States :0(

  12. You ladies are incredible!! I'm going to attempt to link up with Eliza and try the download. If it doesn't work I will let you know.

Thank you all for your kindness. Hugs.

  13. Success! Eliza's download worked perfectly. Am now gonna pop the popcorn and settle in for the hotness!

Thank you Val and Eliza for all your help and thank you all for your generous offers.

    Hugs to everyone!

  14. SnarkAngel, It was also my intention to say that you, too, are incredible. I'm still becoming familiar with everyone and didn't realize you were of the male persuasion. I see you're in Chicago. I'm a Chicago native. Am I forgiven or does that make it worse? :)

  15. LOL, Ducky! Just glad you got the download to work! Welcome aboard... and there is nothing to forgive. Glad to see another Chicago native here!

  16. Hi

I am a new follower of this blog - although I have been a VDO fan for ages. It's so great to see comments from people with such good taste. This blog really makes me laugh! Anyway - I was wondering if anyone can help me too? I am also in the UK and cannot get hold of VDO's version of the Taking of Pelham. I am absolutely desperate to see it! It's one of the few things I haven't managed to get hold of in some form. Can anyone help?

    thanks
    Becky
