Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.
Interesting fire effect there. I've never seen that before. It goes very well with the pictures.
LOVE the fire effect with the Hottest Priest Ever. Do NOT get me started on the Pope (or Poop, as I call him) and the Catholic church. I am a Recovering Catholic myself. As far as I'm concerned, they are just another cult.
Burn baby, burn!!! Father Casey inferno. Great post, Val. The Bible says God said, "Go, and multiply." So, why do you believe that the planet CAN'T support more people? Who is going to take care of all of us in our old ages? Here's something to not get me started on - ABORTIONS! The Earth will be here long after humankind destroys themselves and other creatures. And that's a fact. Cheers!!
Awesome fire effect Val.
Father Casey, forgive me ... for I am about to sin!!! *places both hands firmly on Father Casey's behind*
Snark - hilarious! Wait, why is this priest on fire? Cool fire, btw!
Father Casey would make even hell a place to be...and if I keep thinking the things I'm thinking thats where I'm going :-D
The Church is a political party and a Nation, disgustingly rich. It's all about money and power. They can't give in about the rules they created (for their slaves, not for themeselves)'cause control over peoples' minds, bodies, actions is what gives them power. In Italy the citizens who actually support the Church are lesser and lesser, priests are losing the grip on people, and the Vatican has never been as invasive, evil, reactionary as now.
I can't help thinking that Henry VIII would be appalled that 'The Bishop of Rome' was visiting. Very happy I'm an Atheist, 'cause I have no axes to grind when it comes to religion, although I'd happily 'burn' for Father Casey!!
I'm a Presbyterian and have a strong faith, but I'm not getting into this at all. I'm just so happy Ilive in a country where everyone is SUPPOSED to have a choice in what they believe.
I'm religious in no way because I don't support to receive orders. I like thinking and acting by myself. I don't want to make something to win my place at the paradise. I respect the religions and the believers but I think that you're right: the Pope doesn't live in the same century as ours. What doesn't prevent me from being crazy about Father Casey! I love your slideshow and the fire effect. :D
I do believe in God...But I have a Serious problem with organized religion.
I agree, Tess, organised religion has a lot to answer for.BBG1, what makes YOU think the planet CAN support more people. Sadly, by the time mankind destroys itself, most of the planet and the wonderful creatures on it will be extinct. We can only continue to increase our population by taking land from other species and endangering their continued existence. The people who wrote the Bible could have no idea what trouble those words would cause.
Lovely effect. Vincent certainly gets me all hot when I see him!As to the Catholic church...well, I've had my share of run ins with them so let's just say, I'm not a fan. And I doubt they'll move into the 21st century any time soon. Didn't they just officially admit Galileo was right?
I'll never forget leaving church one day after the bishop made his "Annual Appeal" for $$. We were parked next to him, my mother in her 18-year-old car and the bishop in his shiny new Lincoln Continental. That did it for me with that institution. The same bishop was later affiliated with The Shuffling Of The Pedophiles and named in several lawsuits, but that's an entire other reason to loathe him. Still, I do like Val's hot priest and will gladly do a novena with him.
bobbybegood1 - Nice hat tip to "Disco Inferno". lolololOne more comment about Father Casey, "bless me father for I HAVE SINNED!" lol
How do I know the Earth can support more people? My gut tells me so. And, I'll believe my gut instincts before I believe science or religion. I believe that if mankind WASN'T so damn greedy there would be no need to take land from others. We'd find a way to CO-HABITATE. We're bright, intelligent, compassionate beings, and it's about time we acted like it. Also, how is it that other species can continue to populate the planet without too many problems? To sum up what RFK said - Man looks at things and wonders why, but I look at the possibilities and say why not. Cheers Val!!
Not sure what planet you live on, BBG1, but it's not the same one as me. Humans are wiping out other species at an alarming rate because we either crave them for decoration/medicine,greed, or we steal and pollute their habitats. Then there's global warming, about which there's NO DOUBT, no matter what sceptics (who are now eating their words anyway) say.My gut tells me that more people will put pressure on food and water supplies (don't forget that millions upon millions of people don't have clean drinking water) and our efforts to become greener in our energy use cannot work. Individuals may cut down, but there will be so many more of them.As for abortion, I've beenin favour for over 40 years, so don't get me started on the Pro-Misery people who call themselves Pre-Life, insinuating that those in favour of abortion are Pro-Death.
Excuse me? I live on the same planet as you do, but your comment makes me wonder!!! I know a person who could have been aborted, and could have saved the planet much food, drink and oxygen. Cheers!!
Bobby- whatever happened, sounds awful, maybe it just needs some time.I hope you're ok.
BBG1, I don't understand how someone can believe their gut rather than science. Does that mean you would be happy for your best friend to operate on you for cancer or appendicitis? Or let me do it? My gut tells me I could do it, and surely my gut is as valid as yours?
