Like JoJo, I gave up on season 8, but this thing is much too gross to be passed over...What the heck were they thinking? And WHY? Vincent must have been overly fed up with the show to accept to act such a grotesque insult to the highest quality audience a tv show could wish for.
I agree. This was the WORST episode ever. Walon Green proved on this one he's an incompetent as a show runner and should have remained at the mothership with Balcer to keep him in line.
What a horrible mess it was. And it was insulting to devoted fans who would know who Joey Frost was and who got confused over Josh Snow. They showed they couldn't care less about the devoted viewers.
Season 8 was a total waste except for Lady's Man and that was only because Bobby was acting like the old Bobby.
I haven't watched it since I capped it, in an effort to forget just what they did. I loved 'Cruise To Nowhere' and that this was filmed showed just what the execs thought of us as loyal fans
I haven't watched it since either. It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd made it a completely 'new' story, but they kept putting in 'reminders' about what happened in 'Cruise to Nowhere' obviously hoping we wouldn't notice Lou's character had had a head and pathetic name transplant. Such a shame 'cause Lou and Vincent were magic together. Not only should Walon Green have been shot after this, he should have been hung, drawn and quartered too!
it was an absolute disgrace - without lou pucci playing the intended role, this episode should never have been made - 'cruise to nowhere' didn't need a sequel but if they were intent on it then at least get it right - did they think they could get away with pulling the wool over our eyes - an insult to vincent, the whole cast and the fans -
please please please vincent do not go back to them - they don't deserve you - you are so much more worthy
I do have to comment here: the one thing I *did* like about this episode is that we didn't have to see Lou Pucci's character turn into a murderer. Like all of you, I LOVED him in "Cruise To Nowhere" (as well as "Thumbsucker"). I don't know why he didn't/couldn't do "All In," but at least I could console myself that Joey Frost was still, as Bobby said, "gonna be all right."
Udengui, my Spanish isn't too good (almost non-existent, actually) but if I understand you'd like to know about Bobby's mew life/job, I have a blog for that - www.aftermajorcase.blogspot.com
Don't remember this one at all, b/c I admit that I stopped watching after the one when Declan kills everyone.
ReplyDeleteIt's the one with the young gambler that should have been Lou Pucci, but they tweaked the name and used another actor. Absolute rubbish.
ReplyDeleteWhy be so judgmental, ladies? I just love whenever I get to see that gorgeous face! Who pays attention to something like the story?

ReplyDeleteOnce again I don't remember the plot. I'm like Jean : I don't pay attention to the story! What a shame ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for those wonderful caps.

Although the caps are great! Just looking at him makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteWalon Green should have been taken out and shot for this...
ReplyDeleteOh that's right Val, this was on the other day and I watched it. Don't remember the storyline but Brian made a 'joey frost' comment during the show.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a little insulting of our intelligence when we get to watch how perfectly gorgeous Vincent was in this episode??? Beautiful caps, Val!
ReplyDelete'Tis a shame that such a gorgeous man should have to wade through such a sewage pipe of a script.

The whole season wasn't my thing. It seems to me that the writers of season eight were running out of ideas and creativity.
