Sleep? Who needs it!

Today I had to take Amber to the vet's for her six-weekly kidney injection. Because I have to get up early for the chickens, I decided to book an 8.30 appointment, and instead of going back to bed, I'd see what the day might hold.

As I left with Amber, I saw a neighbour on her way, as I supposed to work. Little did I know...

Awake (!) and alert (!!!) I decided to hop on a train and take myself off to London Zoo.

...Where I bumped into the neighbour with two young charges (who were bored).

A sign on the African Hunting Dogs enclosure said that there were two new females inside, and this may affect behaviour. What it did not say was that lunch had been served.

Vegetarians (ew, that means me!) and those with weak stomachs (that's me too!) beware.

  3. Think I'm gonna pass on watching the vid. I'm too squeamish. Bad enough I almost lost my lunch when my boss & his wife were telling us about the insect & frog snacks for sale in Chinese markets. BARF

Well, they do have to eat too. Have to give you props on videoing that, if watching it was as hard as that was I admire your courage.

  7. I'll pass on the video. In a perfect world everyone (human and animal) would be a vegetarian!
