Actually, too much comment is nearer to the truth.

For some time now, my comment window has been doing weird things - but only on my own computers! If I access my blog at work, everything is fine.

What happens is, the little window appears, but the main page also displays the comments page, stretched wide. Two lots of "do you wish to continue" boxes appear. It also happens to me on other blogs where people have this comments format.

Now that I am not receiving notification of your comments in my email (no idea why, the settings are fine) I find it excessively irritating to have this happen, so I have changed to a comments page.

And what does Blogger have to say about my problems?

The same as they always say - absolutely bloody nothing.

  1. Here is my comment.

Oh - wait - I haven't got anything to say!

This feels more familliar than the pop-up page you had before. I think more people use this default comment page.

I was bit confused about the blue background at first. I thought it was just my eyes being wacky ('cause the desktop is dark blue).

Dunno what to say about the comment thing. I've given up trying to understand technology.

Oops, I accidentally pressed "Flag Blog" just now. In case anything happens, it was just an accident.

    Sorry!

  6. I don't mind this format...feels more familiar I think. Although,with the coment box I could still look at V while I thought of a comment :-)

How about pictures? Blogger uploads mine and posts them in the wrong order these days...again,nothing they can do

  7. Sorry to hear about that. It's so annoying when things stop working for no apparent reason and you get no response.

It's okay this way or the other way. I'm easy to please. LOL

Photobucket and I aren't on good terms at the moment, since every time I try to post anything to the blog from it, it has decided to make photos about 3 miles high by 2 miles wide, thus ensuring Vincent is cut in half! I have NO idea how or why this is happening, but I'd have more luck questioning my keyboard on the meaning of life, the universe, and everything than getting an answer out of Blogger! Eliza, have you tried the new 'drop 'n' drag' feature at Bucket to rearrange things? I studiously upload mine, in reverse order, 20 at a time - and it does take a LOT of time, but they're in the order I, not Bucket, want them. Oh dear, saying that could be the kiss of death ;0)

  11. Whatever works for you, Val. Like everyone else, I'm easy to please, and clueless about why things happen the way they do when it comes to internet technology... if only I could be as tech savvy as I am Vincent savvy. LOL

  12. Yeah I had to go in and tweek my settings when my comments box started being weird. I do like the background too.

How do you change your layout w/o losing everything you've done? I'm getting kind of sick of my hot pink colour.

something must be wrong with me...i don't see any difference, but if you're happy, then, i'm happy!

of course, you could smack me over the head with it and i still wouldn't notice it.

OK, god knows it doesn't take much these days, but I'm confused. I don't have any 'blue background' here...just the white one I've always had. Oh well, perhaps I'm 'special' ;0)

  16. yes Diane... you are special, that's why we love you ;>)

  18. sorry. yes it is blue, what colour was it before? i only have eyes for the vincent pics. i don't notice anything else!!

  19. It's a very pale blue-green colour now. I did it by going into my settings and, where it said what colours were compatible with my page, I chose a new background colour. Nothing else changed. (By me, anyway.)

I thought the emailed comments thing was cured, too, as I seemed to get a lot in my inbox today. Nothing like this many, though.
