One of the topics of conversation yesterday was that apparently Vincent used to sit in cafes in Covent Garden when he was making Full Metal Jacket, and was ignored because he was so overweight and shaven-headed.
What better place to sit and talk about the man? And wish we'd been there back then... (I actually might have been!)
Eliza looking pensive
Diane looking serious
Ann was pulling a face, so she made me delete the picture of her.
Taking pictures of others is a great way to avoid being included in the display yourself!
Hi Eliza! Hi Di!!!
ReplyDeleteDiane: Why do you look so serious? What were they talking about?
Thanks for the pictures Val. But I miss seeing you and Ann.
Great pics, Ladies! Thanks for sharing, Val!
ReplyDeleteHow much do you want to remove that picture of me???! I've objected to pictures of me since I was old enough to do so i.e. around the age of 5.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the subject was at this particular moment Tess. I was probably just perplexed at the idea that Vincent D'Onofrio could sit at an outdoor restaurant table in Covent Garden and be ignored by womankind...Pyle weight or not, Vincent is/was STILL Vincent. Poor baby I'd like to make him forget all the slights he suffered then - and (depressingly) recently too.
LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi guys! *waving*
ReplyDeleteI hate having my pic taken as well, which is why you don't see many of me, except when I was younger and thinner. Now, I look like a cow.
I know the camera adds 10 lbs, but I look at photos of me and wonder how many cameras are on me. lol
I actually like that pic of me..and thats not something I say very often...thank god there is a table in front to hide the wobbly bits LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what we were talking about then either, but no doubt it was something to do with how V was treated, given how we both look.I seem to remember the rest of the time we were a bit girly and giggly :-D
I think you ladies look lovely. You wear your
ReplyDeleteobsession well. There is almost nothing
better than a good giggle session with
girl friends. Especially if the subject is
Vincent. Thank you for sharing.
Smart move Val! I always volunteer to be the picture taker as I hate photos of myself. Even when I was younger and there was a lot less of me, I hated having my photo taken. Usually because I always get caught with the most stupid expression on my face. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou ladies seem to have had a great time.
Oh, I would have like to have been there :)
ReplyDeleteI would've posting the face-making picture anyway, 'cause I'm mean!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hate that feeling when you realize you could've seen a celebrity and weren't paying attention. The cast of Ocean's Twelve came to my town and I didn't know it.
Looks like a cute cafe.
I think it's great you all had a chance to get together. Thank you, Vincent, indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's nice to have faces to put to the names on the blogs I obsessively check! Shame I don't see Val!
It is so nice to have a face with the names. thanks. very lovely. I know what you mean, VAL, I hate pics of myself, so I am usually the pic taker too.
ReplyDeletelooks like you girls had a brilliant time. so happy for you! :D
ReplyDeleteif vincent knew how love he brings to this world. :)
i meant of course how *much* love... ;)
