Vincent D'Onofrio Forum

This is the log-in page for the VDO forum. They are probably not taking new members becasue they fear I'll try to get back on. (Well, I don't want to stay, just to tell them who they should really be removing and why.)

Thank you all for your witty and extremely nasty comments (you didn't say ANYTHING they didn't deserve!) and I hope you can all register soon and bombard them with the thoughts of right-thinking VDO fans.

  1. Yeah, I was right. The link you provided was the site I found yesterday. Had never visited it. But when I try to register (today, as well as yesterday), I get this message: "Sign ups are currently disabled at this forum. Only staff members can create accounts at this time." So much for their dedication to "Free Speech." LOL.

  2. I have 3 verrrrry good friends who are mods there, and I don't think they're happy with this, either. Admin is trying it's best, but we do want freedom of speech. My prob is when, after you've said your peace, you have to keep coming back to say it again and again. Say it once and move on, everyone has the right to do that. I've already left another board because of the attacks on Mr D'Onofrio and the way (they said OVER & OVER & OVER)he hijacked/acted BAD in Untethered. Apparently, my enjoying the ep was wrong. So I guess you're free to rip him apart, but not defend him.

  3. I hear ya, Mauigirl. I've seen this happen in other "fandoms," which is why I have kept my visits to LOCI/D'Onofrio sites relatively limited and low-key. I think it's a well-accepted fact that these trolls who keep showing up and repeating themselves by trashing an actor every day, sometimes 10 times a day, are poor, pathetic losers who have no lives and are venting their personal frustrations by finding someone to pick on who is loved by others. They want to be loved themselves, and aren't, so they pick someone who is, to tear down. Makes them feel better about themselves. It's one thing to have a negative opinion about an actor and/or their work, but to constantly harp on it? Why not just change the channel?

  4. This is the one and only VDO forum that I joined. I visited it twice, but I was so dismayed at the negative comments that I never returned.

I had never joined a forum before, so I thought I was going to a site where VDO fans hung out. Boy, was I wrong!

If these so-called fans don't like a little meat on their man's bones, why don't they hang out at the Orlando Bloom or Brad Pitt forums? (Don't get me wrong - I think they're handsome men, but they just don't make me swoon like Vincent does!)

  5. I went this morning to see what the hubub was about. It let me register, but says an admin still needs to approve my account.

How can folks be so malicious to someone when they only know a character portrayed through the TV?!?!? I'd love to know the percentage of hateful commenters that have actually met Mr. D'Onofrio in person. Wouldn't you???

  6. I was gonna go over there and register but then decided that I am just gonna stick to the known blogs that I visit. It's more social, friendly and fun, like being at a small party with your best friends. I don't want to enter a large Forum where people are being negative pricks. I deal w/ enough abuse every day from the clients. My trips to the VDO blogs are to escape my crappy days, so the last thing I want to do is get into it w/ someone on blogs or forums. It's why I stopped visiting the VDO Vault....the people there could be really bizarro.

  7. I think I'm gonna follow your lead, Jojo. I'd MUCH rather hang out on a site that is for FANS of the man and his work, not a bunch of no-life, self-appointed "critics," who aren't really critics, but just hate mongers. A/V girl, let us know if they actually approve your account.

  8. So far I've registered, activated, and am now awaiting approval. Gosh that's a lot of hoops to jump through to read their crap. What do I do next....carve "I <3 Vinnie" in my chest?!?!? LOL.

Snark & JoJo. I totally agree with you both, I find it shameful for some of the mean and nasty comments that have been made. I can't believe that humans, well so many of them, could be so cruel. We can continue to carry on with the positive sites for Mr. D'Onofrio and may they will go away.
