The Snowdon Aviary

JoJo asked what the triangular shapes were at the back of one of the photos of the Grand Union Canal. It's The Snowdon Aviary, designed by Lord Snowdon, Princess Margaret's late former husband, also known as Anthony Armstrong Jones. He was a well-known photographer, but I have no idea how he came to design an aviary. It is as light and airy as it looks.

    That's really cool!! Are there a lot of birds in the aviary? Who tends to them?

    There are a lot of birds in there. They are cared for by keepers, like all the creatures in the zoo.

    Awesome! I love birds and it's so great that they get to live protected but still able to fly around.
