Pat goes to almost every performance the opera group gives, even though she lives many miles from where they perform and doesn't drive. She's a radiographer, and before the powers-that-be saw fit to move her department from the small specialist neuro unit where it used to be and install it in a large general hospital, she worked close to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club. Her department used to x-ray and scan injuries to the likes of Pete Sampras.
Oh, Val, what a lovely day!! The pictures are just beautiful and I am so glad to hear you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteWish I could toddle off to Edenbridge - it is breathtaking!
It's a real privilege to go there and mix with such lovely people in those gorgeous surroundings.
ReplyDeleteit's absolutely breathtaking.... how wonderful
ReplyDeleteI know I'm shallow, but I adored Pete Sampras... not the way I love vdo, but I wouldn't miss a match of his... did Pat ever meet him?
sorry, I've posted under this name... just playing around with my blog and forgot to change user.
I think one of her friends dealt with him. Not sure if she saw him at all - she's not impressed by celebs. Sampras was too hairy for my liking (says the woman whose husband had hair EVERYWHERE!)
ReplyDeleteHow bizarre - my word verification just had a red cross instead of the letters to type. I had to type in rubbish to make it come up with an alternative that I COULD see!
