Can you believe someone was not only stupid enough to have this thought, he sat down and wrote a letter about it to the newspaper.
A lot of deer get hit by cars west of Crown Point on U.S. 231. There are too many cars to have the deer crossing here. The deer crossing sign needs to be moved to a road with less traffic.-

Slow Boat to Paradise
Normal service is restored...sort of. Unable to explain why everything worked fine one day and not at all the next, Photobucket blamed it all on my browser. Which was the same the day before the fault as it is now with the fault. Make sense to you? No, me neither.
Anyway, I'm using Firefox till IE works again, as I predict it will. Been here before.
Meanwhile, imagine being alone with Bobby, or Vincent, or both, in the middle of an empty ocean.

Double Room and DO NOT DISTURB
Still no joy with Botophucket. My complaint should be resolved within 48 hours. Does that mean they'll give me 48 hours' worth of subscription back?

Pains in the Medical , well...
... not arse.
I had my carpal tunnel test today. The guy put sticky things on my hands and fingers and shot electric currents through my hands and arms. FUCK!
I have mild carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist, moderate in my left. I'm going to try injections first, but leftie will probably need surgery.
This evening I went for that most wonderful of procedures, a cervical smear. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say the speculum and my cervix didn't want to make friends. DOUBLE FUCK. That hurt.
I'm going back on Monday when a female doctor will be available if the nurse still can't get a sample.
Oh joy.
Oh well, better get as much as I can out of the health service bafore our wonderful government privatises it once and for all and makes it unaffordable for the suckers who've paid for it all their lives, just as they get older and need it.

Shhhhh!
It's nearly a year since I took this picture of the lion family at London Zoo in the snow. Since then, the young male (bottom front) has gone to a new home in Poland. The young female, Ruby, remains with mum and dad.
Yesterday, I took a fortuitous rest on a bench next to the keepers' "talk trolley" as they were preparing to give a talk on the lions. I overheard them talking about mum lion Abi and some new cubs! The public doesn't yet know about these 6-week-old additions to the population of this endangered species. But, relentless in my pursuit of the latest animal news, and being a harmless grey-haired woman who probably doesn't know anything about technology and networking, and so not someone to worry about telling these things to, I was able to glean the information that there are two cubs, which will probably be outside within two months, and the size of their heads suggests that there is one of each.
You heard it here first!
Meanwhile, my tooth and its lanced gum infection are doing better, but despite yesterday's lovely warm, sunny weather, I spent 3 daylight hours in bed feeling grotty with a bladder infection and who knows what else. I have a theory that I either swallowed some of the infected material when the gum was lanced, or some of it entered my bloodstream via the lanced hole. Today it' still sunny and warm and I'm feeling much better, so the garden is beckoning once more.
