Season 5 arrived today. Whoopee!
But - where's Alex? Why still a Season 1 Goren picture? And why can't you see the episode synopses without taking the cover out of the case?
Once again, no expense has been expended.
Last year my cousin Lorna in Canada (JoJo - Don's cousin) said she might come to England with the Red Hat Society. I had NO idea what that was. She explained it was just a group of woman who met up and decided what fun things they wanted to do.
I hadn't thought about the matter since. Lorna didn't make it to England. That was the end of it as far as I was concerned.
But at the zoo on Wednesday my cousins and I noticed a bunch of women with red hats and purple outfits. I was able to explain as best I could what they were. Not happy with this, fate sent another bunch my way on Friday at the Patisserie Valerie (oh yes) in Bromley, Kent. I approached them to tell them of the coincidence. Next thing I knew, they were trying to recruit me.
Luckily, I live outside their area.
Though I do possess a red hat. And lots of purple clothes...
Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.

White on Wight
Yesterday I went to Southampton to visit my cousin and her husband. We were intending to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and visit the zoo, which is renowned for its big cats, especially the white ones.
The zoo is actually very small, and the enclosures are not large. They are carrying out a big rebuilding and renovation programme, which looks long overdue.
It has to be said, though, that although the zoo supports conservation work, it began life as a tiger and big cat sanctuary, and the animals tend to have been rescued from poor conditions, such as circuses. They certainly all look in good condition and content.
There is at least one jaguar at the zoo, and I did see her, but by the time I went to take a picture, she had retreated from view.
On the way home, the train stopped at Winchester. I was surprised to see a sign on the platform that said "Home of the Winchester College of Art".
No mention of the ancient Winchester Cathedral.
Silence on the Great Hall of the castle...
