Welcome to the world of the Vincent D'Onofrio obsessed - and a bit of real life thrown in.

Greta in the the Guardian
They had an interview with Greta Scacchi in The Guardian magazine today. She didn't mention Vincent once.
How to use PowerDVD
No, folks, I'm not going to bore everyone with a post about a programme you either don't have, or already know how to use, just leave an disused email address for Acer110 to write to me so I can tell her what to do with it. (I had the programme for a couple of years before I ever opened it and found I could do all the wonderful things Eliza and Diane were already doing!
Acer100, just email me at taplowm@msn.com. I don't check this address every day as I don't really use it any more, but I will explain your programme to you. It's really useful once you get the hang of it. You will have your own stills from Vincent films and LOCI in no time.

Yesterday was on Yesterday
So, as we swelter away in unseasonably high temperatures, I force myself to overheat more with pictures of the hottest man alive.
I bought a thermometer today (human kind) to see if my temp is higher than normal when I have these ever more intense hot flushes. Surprisingly, it's actually LOWER than normal. Still, that could make sense too - the weather and the menopause could both feel hotter to my outside just BECAUSE I am cool on the inside.

Stuck in my head
All day I've had the idea for this movie in my head, but to realise it, I had to sort out PowerDVD and AnyDVD in such a way that I didn't have to pay for them all over again (done - unlike Norton) then make it, then upload it. Anyway, here it is for your delectation.
Madi - I hope it was breaking off our IM session for.
That's Vincent throbbed over. Here comes the "Life" part of the blog.
Yesterday I thought a different bit of technology was failing on me. I started my car after work, and the radio and fan wouldn't work (in all that heat!) plus there were some strange noises when engaging the gears and in neutral and park. I had to stop off to pick up a parcel at the post office (my Sky wireless router for when I join them next week as my new ISP; oh dear, I foresee more techno-woes) and when I got back in the problem had disappeared.
Nevertheless I phoned the dealership, and the guy there said he'd come across it before. If the key is turned just a millimetre too far round in the ignition it causes all these problems. I get the electricals, but the engine and gears? Oh well.

Shrink-Wrapped Seizure
Today I received a questionnaire from Hallmark, asking for lots of information, including favourite programmes and what you'd like to see on the Channel.
Is anyone surprised to learn that I only ticked LOCI as the programme I never miss? Or that I asked them to buy seasons 6 and 7 as soon as possible?

Mis-Labeled Phantom
Our UK run of good luck persists, even if my computer lcuk doesn't get much better. Today HP returned my computer (without notice, and at the end of school, demanding back a loan computer I didn't have, but hey, I have my "middle" conputer back).
First off it wouldn't recognise my ISP provider's disc, so I immediately had to reboot. OK, when it failed to reboot I had to turn it off manually. But then it all loaded fine. So I went to my MSN email to find the "solution" to putting Norton back on here without having to pay again (I only paid about 3 months ago). Oh my, guess what? The activation code doesn't work! I think I already told them this, so they sent it back to me again. They've also sent me a form about their customer service for me to fill in. Gosh, did I really answer "totally dissatisfied" to everything?
And now begins the next struggle to get all your blogs on not one, but now two, computers.
What a good thing we have Bobby to comfort us.

Apologies
If I haven't visited your blog lately, it's nothing personal. I just haven't got all my favourites on to this machine yet. Last time I was on my old machine I started to copy-and-paste them into a document to email to myself so I could bung them on here, then accidentally clicked for an update to restart the computer, and it never got done.
Of course, I'll then have to do it all over again when the broken machine returns home.
Talk about running to stand still.

Today's Double Bill
Today being a holiday in Britain, I actually got to see Unrequited as it happened.
But Homo Homini Lupis won't be on till after I'm in bed tonight, so I won't see it till breakfast time tomorrow.

You Bring Sparkle To My Life
Vincent D'Onofrio, if there were a song that had this title, it would have been written for you.
