Madi's lousy luck

For those who asked on Axe's blog what had happened to Madi, the person who was supposed to be getting her a job met with her soon after she arrived, but said he needed to get something sorted about her paper work, come back on Thursday.

She did. He was gone. The woman who was now doing his job said there was nothing for her, especially without the paper work.

She has been doing the rounds of employment agencies, Job Centres (for US readers, the government job-finding "service"), even the Police (useful as a chocolate teapot as usual) and has now almost run out of money. I mailed her a small amount today (she has no bank account, so it's a bit risky) but it won't cover her rent.

Next week I've advised her to return to the Job Centre and ask how she can get a National Insurance number - the magic route to paying tax. She is also going to the Citizen's Advice Bureau.

If anyone else wants to send her some cash, I will email you her address.

Naked Tango

What with all the talk about getting copies, legal or not, of this ultimate in erotic movies, I thought it might be a good idea to remind us all of how completely edible Vincent was in it.

I have a legal video with the "dancing with the dead" ending, and what I can only suppose is a pirate DVD from a Canadian seller on Ebay which has the short alternative ending.

You can never have too much Vincent,

Eosphoros

Not a favourite episode, but, as usual, Bobby's delectable.

More help needed.

On Google Alerts the other day someone was asking if anyone knew where she could get Region 1 DVDs or NTSC videos of Naked Tango and Guy for less than a small fortune. I left a message, and she has renewed her plea on my blog. Can anyone help, either with seller information or any other solution to this problem we have all had at some point in our Vincent-loving lives?

Great Barrier

Though they use Want in their latest advert, Hallmark never actually shows it. Nicole Wallace is OK for 8pm, but the serial killer in Want is obviously a step too far for their sensibilities.

Dexter's On Terrestrial

UK Vixens - those of you who do not have satellite or cable can finally enjoy the brilliant Dexter. It's on ITV1 tonight at 10.35. If that's too late for you, I recommend you record it. It is really worth watching.

Earthquake!

I was surprised to learn that our tiddly little earthquake had made the news across The Pond, It was just 5.2 on the Richter scale, there was some damage to property, and one man received a broken pelvis from a collapsing chimney stack.

It was too far from London for me to have felt it (thank goodness, I'm terrified at the thought of earthquakes).

Here are some pictures of the damage, and a Google Map to show exactly where the epicentre (the interestingly-named Market Rasen) is located in the British Isles.

OK, it turns out that you have to view the larger map and go down a bit for London to appear.

Posthumous Collection

I am CONVINCED I've capped this, but I can't find the pictures, so it's another Lucky Dip.

Golly - it's VOG!

Semi-Detached

Season 4 opens on Hallmark tonight. Of course, on Thursday there WON'T be Want.

For some reason, quite a lot of my pictures from this episode are a bit blurred. It was just so difficult to hit the pause button just right. Sorry folks.
