Third Time Lucky?
Fourth time, actually. Loading these photos has taken four goes, including yesterday, but suddenly, after losing them, blogger has loaded them three times! And I can't seem to get rid of the spares.
Mitzi was a feral cat rescued with her kittens in the back garden of a house in East London. She was only about ten months old herself. She was such a good mother that Twiglet (who was in a previous post) has grown into a beautiful cat, twice her mother's size.
Mitzi had to hone her hunting skills to feed herself and her family, and sadly for the local bird population, she is still using those skills.

Rubbish
My internet service provider has just been taken over by a mobile phone company and it is now providing a seriously rubbish service. It can't find this blog even when I'm already on it, so I haven't been able to publish the pictures I wanted to, because half-way through loading them it searches for the open "post" page and fails to find it. So no photos - Vincent with his arms folded will have to wait for another day.
I know how you feel
What a day! First day of jury service, and I wasn't required for any jury - but not dismissed from court till 2.30pm. Went to the supermarket on the way home, then after putting the shopping away decided to go and get a few signatures for my letter/petition about the plans to ruin my street. But everyone is so wired up about it that I ended up spending over an hour talking to various people. Those worst affected (whose houses will be overlooked by the new development) are having meetings, unaware that the rest of the street is also up in arms. Someone else, who discovered only a small number of people received the letter from the council, has duplicated it and plans to deliver it to the whole street. It's always been a good community here, but this is really making us gel as a group, so something positive has resulted from this threat.

Shock! Horror! Meerkat Reveals All
My House (2)
I like myself...
A rare opportunity to fully appreciate that parrots, and other birds that have eyes on either side of their heads, really do see different things out of each eye.
I no longer have this mirror. The parrots used it as a chew toy. Not to worry - I found it in the toilet of a flat I once rented (ie. 30 years ago) and it wasn't up to much even then. I think it was born to be a parrot toy.
My House
If only! This house actually belongs to friends of mine. It's the most beautiful house I've ever been in (aside from a few Stately Homes owned by The National Trust or English Heritage) with absolutely glorious gardens.
The first time I went there, just after they'd bought it, I couldn't believe I knew people who owned a house like this.
The owners open the gardens for charity several times every summer.
